THE VAGANOVA METHOD
The Vaganova Ballet Methodology is a technique of classical ballet that was developed by Agrippina Vaganova, a Russian ballerina and teacher, in the early 20th century. The method emphasizes a strong and controlled technique, as well as expressive artistry and musicality.
Many dancers and ballet professionals consider the Vaganova method to be one of the most rigorous and effective training methods for classical ballet. It is widely used in Russian ballet schools and has been adopted by many ballet companies around the world.
The Vaganova method places great importance on the development of strength, flexibility, and grace in the dancer, as well as the ability to express emotion through movement. The method is known for its clear and precise instruction, as well as its emphasis on musicality and artistry.

ELITE TRAINING LEVELS
ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
Our Elite Training Programs are designed for students aged 10yrs to 16yrs old with the potential to become a professional ballet dancer and are limited to 12 students per class. It is our goal to prepare students to audition and be accepted into Vocational Ballet Schools around the world which in turn will open the door to attaining a job in the future.

What sets our Elite Training Program apart from others, is that we DO NOT use a “ based off of ” Vaganova method as many other schools do. ALL our classes are taught by Qualified Vaganova Teachers using the traditional method taught in Russia.​

VAGANOVA EXAMS
Another element that set's Ballet Express apart from other schools in Australia is we offer the opportunity for students to participate in an end of year Vaganova Exam and will be examined by a Russian Vaganova Pedagogue. Should the student be successful, they will receive a certificate of completion and progress to the next level. This prestigious certificate will be very beneficial on their CV when applying and auditioning for Vocational Ballet Schools in the future. We are the only school in Australia to offer a true Vaganova Ballet Exam from Level 1 - Level 6.
