JAMES FRASER

Born in Johannesburg South Africa to Australian parents, James began his training in South Africa before joining the Australian Ballet School.

After completing his studies at ABS, he later returned to South Africa and joined the South African Ballet Theatre.

James performed numerous roles from soloist right up to Principal roles such as; Albrecht from Giselle, Drosselmyer in The Nutcracker, Blue Bird in Sleeping Beauty, Lankendem in Le Corsaire and Benvolio in Romeo & Juliet are to name a few.

James then travelled around the world with his partner Jessica, competing in International Ballet Competitions (IBC) winning  multiple awards such as; the Galina Ulanova Award for artistry and Best Pas de Deux at Arabesque in Perm Russia, the Special Artistry Award in both the prestigious Varna IBC as well as the Korea IBC.  


He then joined the Universal Ballet Company in South Korea where he performed many soloist roles in both ballet and contemporary and  toured with the company performing to many audiences around the world.

Wanting to broaden his knowledge in the Vaganova Methodology, James studied under Mr Albert Mirzoyan (Pedagogue of the Vaganova Methodology and Ballet Master at the Vaganova Academy) and attained his Vaganova Teachers Qualification for Level 1 -  Level 6.


It is James' goal to teach and pass on his international experience and knowledge onto the next generation of dancers.

JESSICA OVERTON

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa.

At the young age of 16, Jessica started performing in the corps de ballet of the South African Ballet Theatre and went onto joining the company 2 years later. Soon after she began performing soloist and principal roles such as; Clara in the Nutcracker, Princess Florine and the Song Bird Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty, Peasant pas de deux and Lead Willi in Giselle.


Jessica wanted to grow more as a dancer and the best way to achieve this was by learning from other dancers and teachers from all over the world.

Competing in International Ballet Competitions (IBC) was a way for Jessica to achieve her ambition. 

She went onto winning the Silver Medal at the Korea IBC, Special Award for Artistry in the prestigious Varna IBC, Award for Best Pas de duex and Galina Ulanova Award for Artistry at Arabesque in Perm Russia as well as Best pas de duex in Beijing IBC.

This lead Jessica to joining the Universal Ballet Company in South Korea where she danced for 2 years until she sadly received a tragic knee injury.

It was during her recovery that she began teaching and realised a new passion.  After much determination and rehab she wanted to share her knowledge and experience with future generations in order for them to live their dream and prevent them from injury.

Jessica then studied under Mr Albert Mirzoyan (Pedagogue of the Vaganova Methodology and Ballet Master of the Vaganova Academy) and after completion attained her Vaganova Teachers Qualification for level 1 - level 6.

​

It is Jessica's ambition to bring the best level of training to aspiring young dancers and help them achieve their dream as professional ballet dancers.
